See the World (An Easy English Story): Part 1
Pink, green, and blue. The colors are very bright.
There are many cells. They look like bees. There are many cells, but Neil can see all of them.
Neil is using “lenses” to see the cells. He practiced using the lenses on sick animals, but he is nervous. The lenses feel strange. He is one of the first doctors to use the lenses to help a sick person. He is the first doctor to look at HIV with the lenses. The HIV patterns are easy to see. Neil is sure that genome editing will work. First, he needs to see the disease. Next, he needs to type information into the computer. Finally, the computer will cure the disease.
However, Neil is scared. Maybe he will make a mistake.
The sick woman lies on a table. She is under a big sheet. With the lenses, Neil can see her skin and the disease under the sheet. Her HIV is bright. Many HIV cells are below the woman’s stomach. They look like blue and pink spots on her skin. Neil knows the disease is really under her skin, but he can see the HIV on her skin with the lenses.
